Kamari is situated on Santorini's East coast and is the most famous beach resort on the island, the black volcanic sands stretch for around 5 kilometres, and are full of sun lounges and parasols to allow you to relax and soak up the sun, the waters around Kamari are perfect, beautifuly clear and ideal for safe swimming and snorkelling.
Kamari has a wide range of shops, supermarkets and green grocers, there is also a wide array of restaurants serving everything from traditional greek food to Chinese, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, you'll be hard pressed to stay in.

Perissa is a much quieter resort than its neighbour Kamria, Perissa boasts some long stetches of black volcanis sands, and its beaches slope into the crystal blue sea. The clearness of the water makes this an ideal spot for diving, for the more adventurous the thrill of a volcano dive can also be experianced.
There is also a great range of boat trips on offer, which is by far the best way to explore the island, you can then explore the picturesque islets in the caldera and swim in the hot springs of the dormant volcano.

Thira is Perched on the top of cliffs formed by a volcano, Thira offers superb views across the bay and western coast of the island. As the capital of Santorini, Thira has plenty of restaurants, nightclubs and bars, some of which are set in caves offering a unique atmosphere and a cool haven from the midday heat.
The fact the town is only accessible on foot, in a cable car or by donkey has preserved its quaint charm and slow pace of life. The narrow streets are lined with shops selling souvenirs, jewellery and pottery, so make sure you treat yourself to a few mementos to take home. Then find a traditional taverna and sample some tasty dishes accompanied by a bottle of the local wine. Just be careful on that walk back up the hill.
