Lanzarote is situated just 70 miles off the coast of Africa and is the most easterly of the Canary Islands. The island is 37 miles (60km) long and 12 miles (20 km) wide, making it the fourth largest island in the Canaries. Lanzarote enjoys a mild dry climate with average daytime temperatures ranging from about 21°C in January to 29°C in August. Annual rainfall is just 140mm (5.5 inches). This makes Lanzarote the perfect year-round destination.
Costa Teguise is a quiet and fairly relaxed resort catering for all markets. As well as the main stretch of sandy beach, there are also many smaller coves along the coast line. Night life is fairly low key in Costa Teguise with only a few bars and restaurants. For the more active of people there is the Costa Teguise Championship golf course on the outskirts.

Puerto Del Carmen is the largest and the busiest resort on the island, boasting a virtually unbroken 6km worth of sandy beach. There are many things to keep you active in Puerto Del Carmen including the old town's harbor which is host to waterside fish restaurants and tapas bars. What's more not fare away is Biosphere, a shopping mall jammed packed with smart boutiques - something for everybody. As night falls Puerto Del Carmen really comes to life with restaurants, bars and night clubs all opening till late. It is definitely Lanzarote's biggest and liveliest holiday resort.

Puerto Calero is not a typical tourist area, Puerto Calero has a small promenade/water front along the marina area. There is a small collection of shops mainly designer and surfing wear. Within the resort you will find a good selection of restaurants, cafes and bars. This is the resort to sit, relax and 'watch the world go by'. Very quiet but scenic.
